Welcome to OptionIncomeTools. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website at https://optionincometools.com and all related subdomains and content (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

OptionIncomeTools provides free, web-based options-income calculators, screeners, ticker dashboards, and educational content. The Service is provided as a convenience for personal, non-commercial educational use.

2. Not investment advice

The Service does not provide investment, tax, or legal advice. All calculator output, screener results, ranked opportunities, ticker dashboards, and written commentary are for educational and informational purposes only. Nothing on this site constitutes a recommendation to buy, sell, hold, or trade any security, derivative, or other financial instrument.

OptionIncomeTools is not a registered investment adviser, broker-dealer, commodity trading advisor, certified financial planner, accountant, or attorney. Use of the Service does not create any adviser-client, fiduciary, or similar professional relationship between you and OptionIncomeTools.

You are solely responsible for your trading and investment decisions. Consult a licensed professional before acting on any information from the Service.

3. Options-trading risk

Options trading involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for every investor. Some strategies can produce losses that exceed your initial investment. Before trading options, you should:

Read the OCC’s booklet Characteristics and Risks of Standardized Options
Understand your broker’s account agreement and margin policies
Be confident you can absorb the full possible loss

4. Data quality

Market data is fetched from third-party providers (currently Polygon.io and Stooq). Data may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, or unavailable at any time. The Service is provided “as is” without warranty as to accuracy, timeliness, or completeness. Always verify quotes and option chains with your broker before placing a trade.

5. No guaranteed outcomes

Annualized yields, assignment probabilities, Greek values, and any other model-based estimates depend on assumptions (volatility, interest rates, dividend timing) that may not match actual market conditions. Past performance is not indicative of future results. Live opportunities can become stale, mispriced, or unavailable between display and order entry.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
Scrape, mirror, or systematically copy the Service except by use of standard web search engines
Interfere with or attempt to disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
Reverse-engineer or attempt to extract proprietary methodology
Resell or commercially redistribute the Service or its output
Use the Service in violation of any applicable securities, tax, or other laws

7. Intellectual property

The Service’s content, design, source code (except portions made available under open-source licenses), trademarks, and methodology are owned by OptionIncomeTools or its licensors. You may use the calculators and screeners for personal, non-commercial research. All other rights are reserved.

You retain ownership of any data you input into local calculators (e.g., wheel-tracker entries). That data stays in your browser’s localStorage and is not transmitted to us.

8. Third-party links and affiliates

The Service contains links to third-party sites (brokers, data providers, educational resources). Some are affiliate links from which we may earn a referral commission. We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party site. Inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.

9. Advertising

The Service is supported by display advertising. Ads are served by third-party networks (Google AdSense and potentially others). We do not control ad content. Your interactions with advertisers are solely between you and the advertiser.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, OR UNINTERRUPTED OPERATION.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL OPTIONINCOMETOOLS, ITS OWNERS, OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR TRADING LOSSES, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100), OR THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold OptionIncomeTools harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.

13. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. The “Last updated” date will reflect material changes. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

15. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason.
